Job Summary/Purpose:

Responsible for the establishment of accurate technical and quality requirements, performance of Commercial Grade Dedication evaluations, and development of Item Equivalency Evaluations. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developing Equivalency Evaluations to determine suitable replacement parts and components to address obsolete or unavailable items.
• Performing Parts Interchangeability Evaluations for replacement material, which is interchangeable with original plant equipment, with no change to form, fit, or function.
• Performing technical evaluations and reviews of procurement documents.
• Establishing and utilizing commercial grade dedications to support procurement activities.
• Evaluating and documenting the disposition of technical discrepancies identified during the procurement process, receipt inspection process, and inventory control process.
• Interfacing with internal and external groups on procurement related activities, as needed (e.g., supplier audit or Commercial Grade Survey checklists, establishing the technical and quality requirements of an item to be procured, interpretation of codes or standards, etc.).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum experience/education required of the position:

• Procurement Engineering Specialist II: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline, and minimum 1+ years of procurement engineering experience OR in lieu of a degree, minimum 5+ years of equivalent related experience.
• Procurement Engineering Specialist III: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline, and minimum 3+ years of procurement engineering experience OR in lieu of a degree, minimum 7+ years of equivalent related experience.
• Procurement Engineering Specialist Sr: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline, and minimum 6+ years of procurement engineering experience, with at least four (4) years supporting the nuclear energy industry OR in lieu of a degree, minimum 10+ years of equivalent related experience.
• Procurement Engineering Specialist Sr Lead: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline, and minimum 8+ years of procurement engineering experience, with at least six (6) years supporting the nuclear energy industry OR in lieu of a degree, minimum 12+ years of equivalent related experience

• Preferred experience for this position:
  • Electrical experience or Electrical degree is preferred for this position.
  • 2+ Years of Procurement Engineering experience.
  • Technical mastery of engineering principles, in depth knowledge of procedures, programs, and standards in responsible areas.
  • Performance and development of Commercial Grade Dedication evaluations.

We are hiring a Service Technician Lead for our Cooler Case Cleaning Department as a Full-time employee in our Baton Rouge, LA market.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday from 10 pm to 6 am
• Traveling Monday and return home Saturday morning (Hotel accommodations are provided)
  

Essential Functions

• Possess 1 year of experience maintaining, repairing, commercial refrigeration and HVAC units, equipment, and systems; or associate degree in HVAC/refrigeration systems; or a two-year technical HVAC/refrigeration training program successfully completed after high school; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Strong knowledge of the hazards associated with the occupation, and the safety precautions to maintain at all times.
• Strong ability to give attention to detail and be accurate in performing work duties
• Strong ability to make sound professional judgement and uphold ethics and confidentiality
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to climb and maneuver on tight spaces, ladders, and work and staging platforms; ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  5. Completed QC/CI assessment
  6. Successful completion of Pressure Relief Valve Level III Written and Performance Tests
  7. Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ pressure relief valve experience
  8. Experienced trainer of Pressure Relief Valve Technicians Level I & II
     1. Working knowledge and proficiency of leading manufacturer safety/pressure relief and pilot operated pressure relief valve lines
     2. Proficient in use of lathe in order to perform basic machining on nozzles, discs, and spring washers
