Harbor's Edge is seeking a Maintenance Technician with HVAC experience to join our Plant Operations Team at our state of the art facility in downtown Norfolk. The Technician will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and other household and commercial appliances. Candidates must have strong technical skills, to include: plumbing, electrical, drywall patching, painting, & light carpentry. The ability to remove, set, and grout ceramic tile is a plus. Additionally, the successful candidate should have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintains facility and equipment in good condition, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment
- Performs the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and other household and commercial appliances
- Performs necessary renovations and refurbishment as directed
- Performs all scheduled and unscheduled routine maintenance, repairs, and other maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures
- Follows established maintenance schedules and department policies and adheres to all safety procedures and precautions
- Responds to emergency situations and follows reporting protocol for requisition of outside vendors/contractors or additional resources
- Attends in-service classes and staff meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
