Job Summary

As a Superintendent at L&S, you will monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. You follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site while keeping to the agreed upon schedule. A superintendent communicates regularly with the Home Office and builders.

General Responsibilities

• Develop as a tri-trade professional while you work alongside industry experts to expand your plumbing, electrical and HVAC knowledge and experience.
• Coordinate and schedule the day-to-day job activities of helpers and subcontractors in accordance with job specific scopes of work,
• Ensure compliance of residential construction with drawings, specifications, quality, and code standards.
• Monitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years prior superintendent experience in single-family new residential construction,
• Current Tradesman or Journeyman plumbing license – or - current Wireman or Journeyman electrical license – or - EPA Universal HVAC certification,
• Valid driver’s license,
• Possess a willingness to learn all 3 of our trades: plumbing, electrical and HVAC,
• Familiarity with computers and managing a large amount of paperwork and
• Perform the physical demands of the position - working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow); climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling of objects.

Job Summary

As an Account Receivable Coordinator at L&S, you will be tasked with billing operations and processes to ensure collection of account balances. This entails billing for invoiced orders, supporting collection efforts, and reviewing account discrepancies.

General Responsibilities

• Contact builders to request purchase orders for payment processing.
• Submit invoice for construction stage payments and follow up with builders to ensure timely payment.
• Distribute monthly aging reports to builders.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with production managers, superintendents, builders, and coworkers to ensure accurate completion of receivables.
• Daily data entry of payment allocation and purchase order processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years accounts receivable responsibilities, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong communication skills, ability to organize, prioritize, and be committed to providing quality work.
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, vendor portals and company software.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new projects with a “can do” attitude.

List of Duties:

• Safely assists with a wide variety of maintenance and repair work on facilities, systems, structures and equipment (i.e. repairs and replacement of screens, glass, doors and door hardware, shades, blinds, light fixtures, handrails, ceilings, walls and floors, baseboards, molding strips, playground and recreational equipment, etc.). Performs minor work on facilities, systems, drains, structures and equipment without supervision.
• Replaces furnace/AC filters, checks air vents and thermostats and assists with installation of window and central air conditioning units.
• Assists with replacement of electrical switches, circuits, breaker boxes, outlets, light fixtures and electrical appliances when needed under the supervision of the Master Electrician.
• Assists with repair and installation of existing or new drywall where needed, including cutting, fitting, taping, floating and painting as needed.
• Assists with the make-ready of vacant units, completing the work as quickly as possible consistent with a high quality result.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines/equipment continues to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of building equipment does not deteriorate.
• Assists with repair or replacement of defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembles equipment.
• Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

As a HVAC service technician at L&S, you will repair and calibrate systems, and replace various components. You will diagnose problems, explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms, relay costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions. You will order and collect parts once customer gives approval and communicate with supervisor regarding challenges.
