DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Community Manager in the management of an excellent customer service

General Purpose: Responsible for overseeing all functions of the Engineering department in the absence of the Chief Engineer. - Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the inspection of all building systems and life-safety systems to insure minimum downtime, expense and discomfort to our guests.
- Provide oversight and supervision of all carpentry projects, painting and decorating, maintain plumbing systems, grounds and landscaping.
- Ensure employees maintain safe conditions and procedures in work areas and other associated areas.
- Practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel/company standards; react and assist in hotel emergency situations as needed.
- Additional duties not listed above may be requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Building Engineer with experience directing contractors, vendors, and managing engineering staff. Basic computing skills necessary to operate building automation systems. Must be aware of OSHA and Life Safety Codes.
- Ability to motivate and lead staff members to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to maintain hotel standards, policies and procedures with staff.
- Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English.
- Ability to think clearly under high pressure or emergencies.
- Ability to promote positive work relationships among all hotel staff.
- Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
- Ability to organize, direct, plan and control all engineering activities.
