- Perform pre trip inspections of all equipment to be used each day. this includes the bio-skids, air compressors, generators and forklifts. Inspection reports to be turned in daily.
- Operate any and all equipment in accordance to establish safety procedures.
- Transfer biodiesel and renewable diesel from railcars to outbound trucks using the bio skids.
- Complete all paperwork related to the transferring of bio and renewable diesel. This includes calculating the amount of diesel to transfer to trucks.
- Perform preload and post loading inspections on the rail cars.
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and mechanically sound at all times.
- Identify and report any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Customer service - this position will interact with the office on numerous customer service-related tasks, including inventory management, cross training and how efficiently we get the customers trucks in and out of the facility.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install and/or maintain, commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including: air conditioning units, vents, exhaust, make-up air, evaporator coils, compressors, electrical control systems, thermostatic expansion valves, liquid chillers, ice machines, walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, plus any related controls.
- Perform quarterly planned maintenance on all customer equipment.
- Complete necessary photos and paperwork when required.
- Works to elevate technician skill level and fosters good employee morale.
- Assists Area Service Manager with training personnel, and recommending applicants for employment, discipline, termination, or retention.
- Assist with Technician support calls coming from the field as needed.
- Responds to Service Calls in all areas serviced by CTC.
- Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
- Provides daily /weekly tech updates for the Service Manager.
- Works with Dispatch to track call backs and resolve call backs.
- Communicates with Technicians daily to track progress.
- Maintains a professional personal appearance and maintains a clean and organized work vehicle.
- Administering company policies, inspecting safety standards, identifying problems, and proposing solutions.
- Teaches and enforces safety regulations.
- Ensures proper equipment and supplies are available in their Team to complete various jobs (Le., proper truck stock).
- Monitor field operations daily to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Help with estimates and costs of various jobs in their Team.
- Will periodically go to customer locations to assess customer complaints or call back issues with that customer and perform quality inspections.
- Performs duties of an HVAC/Refrigeration service technician.
- Assist the dispatch team when the Service Manager is not available.
- Assist Service Coordinator with any customer service issues.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Willingness to travel to other Southern Ca counties as needed. Our Service Area includes: Ventura County, LA County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, San Diego County. (We strive to keep techs local to their primary address, however there are instances where you may need to occasionally drive further than normal.)
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Extensive experience and/or knowledge of the industry required
- Ability to perform advanced level maintenance related tasks on HVAC equipment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to give clear direction and respond to inquiries
- Ability to focus on attention to detail
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership, and support staff, as well as with employees
- Problem solving and conflict management skills recommended
- Previous experience in Supervision strongly recommended, but not required
- EPA Universal Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Valid CA Driver’s License with ability to be insurable by our insurance provider
