Job Summary:

Our HVAC/Facilities Technician will be working daily with our other Facility & Maintenance Team Members in all Clearwater/St Pete facilities to ensure the facilities are kept safe and operational. They will partner with the Operations Leadership Team to build a strong culture that is committed to achieving results -- all in focus of one thing -- Our commitment to the Customer.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers, supervisors and managers. The ability to analyze and solve problems, exceptional attention to detail, highly organized self-starter who can manage time, handle challenges, volumes of work and pressure to assist team members with issues and opportunities that arise daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognize safety hazards and unsafe conditions, and initiate action to eliminate any hazards.
  • Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment across multiple facilities, perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
  • Maintain inventory levels, inventory organization and order supplies as needed.
  • Perform daily tasks to ensure compliance with all City, County, State and Federal Guidelines.
  • Maintain and manage Hazardous Waste, Used Oil and Hydraulic Oil storage areas.
  • Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required. Complete and close out Work Orders in the CMMS and enter time worked and materials used
  • Keep work areas neat and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment, the candidate must have 3-5 years of HVAC & Plumbing experience in an industrial setting and possess an EPA 608 Certification.
  • Standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
  • Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Materials, methods and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations of State and local authorities pertaining to HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Hazardous Communication and RCRA Training are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Air Compressors and pneumatic controls.
  • Knowledge of Chiller Systems, Cooling Tower and Water treatment systems.
  • Read and understand Electrical Schematics and CAD Drawings.
  • Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
  • Welding and soldering techniques.
  • Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of District heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
  • Knowledge of fire control systems, security systems and security camera systems.
  • Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Knowledge of motor controls, plant maintenance and emergency control circuits.
  • Knowledgeable and practiced in Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), Arc Flash, NFPA 70e, and building codes.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must have basic knowledge of computer operation for use on our energy management system Trane SC Tracer program and our Preventative Maintenance and Work Order system (CMMS: eMaint). Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word etc.)
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Routinely lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds.

Job Summary 

The Sales Center Manager is responsible for managing sales and operations at one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carry multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies.  The goal of this role is to successfully manage the daily operations of all facets of the Sales Center.   

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

  • Represent Baker as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales and profitability. 
  • Determine and monitor inventory stock levels and manage merchandising of sales showroom. 
  • Manage inventory to ensure proper turns and minimum loss throughout the year. 
  • Keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines, monitor competitive threats and discuss proper response and reaction with Regional Manager. 
  • Responsible for Center’s P&L. 
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and leading a diversified work force. 
  • Train and manage a work force including Warehouse, Receiving/Shipping, Delivery, Fleet Drivers, Showroom, Warranty, Counter Sales and Inside Sales personnel. 
  • Interact with customers, outside sales people and vendors. 
  • Conduct him/herself in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers and employees. 
  • Coordinate Center training and Company/Center events.

Qualifications:  

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  
  • Minimum 2-4 years operational experience within the HVAC industry and product lines associated with HVAC, preferably in the operations of a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house. 
  • Proficiency in air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level. 
  • Proven success in sales, operations, purchasing and inventory management. 
  • Proven success in managing and mentoring other employees while establishing the Center’s business goals. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service are absolutely required. 
  • Ability to read and interpret P&L statements.

    The position of Project Manager 1 is critical to engage with builders to effectively influence schedule sequencing and durations to drive efficiency throughout the duration of the build.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project Leadership

    Carefully manage the entirety of each project’s work scope and budget and ensure projects are completed successfully on deadline with a high degree of quality; effectively utilize labor and material through planning and leadership

    • Proactively identify best practices and RTMC Standards and assure they are built into the project design
    • Deliberately oversee compliance with all quality and codes by performing regular verifications of installations against design documents
    • Clearly communicate expectations and a system of accountability with all members of each crew including jobsite safety requirements and accountability systems and processes
    • Regularly perform verification of install per design with quality inspections per RTMC Quality Standards, assist with punch lists
    • Rigorously manage first-time quality and code compliance through your jobsite team according to RTMC Quality Standards
    • Professionally and effectively communicate with builder and customer representatives
    • Directly lead by example through professional communication and aiming for customer satisfaction with every interaction; represent the RTMC brand professionally
    • Actively attract and retain top talent through effective delegation, mentorship, and development of future leaders; mentor and achieve results through others

    Planning

    • Autonomously create and execute production plans and schedules including manpower needs, logistics of equipment, safety implications, and material delivery schedules with proper lead times
    • Independently source and recruit manpower and own subcontractor agreements
    • Analytically identify and adjust for conflicts and delays created by site conditions or design and help resolve any resulting coordination issues
    • Thoughtfully coordinate and input materials delivery schedules with proper lead times
    • Precisely manage material lists, equipment and tool needs, and returns in coordination with lead times; utilize the team to manage equipment and tool needs

    Administration

    • Accurately review and approve employee time entry, piece rate, and sub-contract billings and payout
    • Efficiently manage and execute all change orders
    • Thoroughly create and submit necessary reports per project
    • Enthusiastically perform any other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal
    • Intermediate mathematical abilities
    • Aptitude for prioritizing and coordinating a variety of tasks
    • Independent and proactive problem-solving and critical thinking
    • Disposition for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
    • Proficient in using basic office equipment
    • Ability to investigate, gather information, and be self-sufficient
    • On-the-job training and immersion
    • Builds best practices into project designs
    • 4 year ME/BCM degree and 2 years minimum MEP-specific work experience OR 5-years minimum construction experience with 2 years MEP-specific
    • Demonstrated leadership required
    • Completed OSHA 30
    • Competent in IMC, IBC, IPC and how that translates into field installation and application
    • Basic proficiency in MS Office programs; MS Project experience a plus
    • Good knowledge of construction methods and construction document interpretation
    • A desire to grow and be challenged; willing to dive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving business

    Knowledgeable in jobsite record keeping and communication methods such as Daily Logs, “toolbox talks”, Change orders, “Daily Huddles,” and material receiving

    Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
